Does your child love Do A Dot pages? Learn how to DIY Do A Dot pages from a simple coloring page! Your preschooler will love this new take on a fun activity!
My daughter LOVES Do A Dot pages. Whether we are using stickers or the fun Dot markers, she always has a good time!
As much as she loves the Do A Dot pages, she grew tired of the alphabet ones that I had searched the internet for. She learned the alphabet pretty early on and has since moved on to newer things.
Instead of searching the internet AGAIN for something that would challenge my daughter, I opted to just make my own!
I love doing this because it’s so easy to adjust to what I am teaching her!
Is your kid still learning the alphabet? Throw a few letters on there!
Is your kid working on numbers? Toss the ones they struggle with on the page!
Has your early reader advanced to sight words? Put those in the circles!
DIY-ing a Do A Dot page is super easy! Your preschooler will love the new spin on this activity and it will be the only way you do Dot marker pages in the future!
Supplies:
- Coloring page
- Pen
- Stickers or Dot markers
That’s it! If you have some coloring pages laying around, all you need to do is grab one and throw some circles on there!
I recommend finding a coloring page that isn’t super cluttered. Ideally there will be one big image in the middle and the rest will be open space for you to fill in with circles. We did a few “Under the Sea” themed days recently, so I found a few cute pictures online and printed them.
If you don’t want to DIY a Do A Dot page, no stress! Here’s a list of some of my favorites that I have made.
